DHR242Z Brushless SDS Drill Features
The Makita DHR242 models are 24mm (15/16") Cordless Combination Hammers powered by 18V Li-ion Battery. This is a 3 mode machine with rotary hammer for masonry drilling, hammer only for masonry chiselling and rotary only for drilling wood and steel and features variable speed and reverse.
Although it is an 18V hammer, it is able to drill in concrete as faster than 24V Cordless Combination Hammer model BHR200.
The DHR242 features a brushless DC motor which reduces energy loss by 30% giving longer battery run time and saves maintenance. A rubberised rear D grip and side handle make this tool extremely well balanced and comfortable to use and at just 3.3kg it is suitable for prolonged use.
This machine will also accept the DX01 HEPA filter which attaches to the main unit and effectively traps all particle sizes with an efficiency rating of 99.75%.

DX06- Dust Extractor Attachment with HEPA Filter Features
The Makita 199563-2 DX06 dust extractor is compatible with the DHR242 18v brushless rotary hammer drill. This system is compact and slides on to and takes its power from the DHR242 and automatically operates when the drill is turned on.
Include a HEPA filter which traps all particle sizes with an efficiency rating of 99.75%, large dust box with button opening for easy emptying and a slide adjustment for different size drill bits.
This new version also now features a new dust dial that removes excess dust from the filter to maintain vacuum efficiency and performance.
The extractor is powered by the same battery as the drill so no additional weight or wires are required.
