Festool Statement

At Festool we are proud of the quality and durability of our products. The safety of our equipment and therefore of our customers is always our top priority. We would accordingly like to inform you today of a voluntary safety measure. As part of our ongoing product monitoring and quality assessment there have, in isolated cases, been serious indications that the aforesaid mitre saws, which are now more than 10 years old, pose a safety risk. In a small number of cases the saw became hot in places and started to smoulder, bursting into flames in some instances, while the saw was connected to the mains. This means that even though no such report has reached us as yet it is possible that a fire could develop in unfavourable circumstances, which could also jump to other objects and spread. Thanks to our careful documentation and findings, we know exactly which products might be affected.


Within the scope of preventive consumer protection and in order to avoid possible damage and injuries up to a risk to life and limb, we urgently ask for your assistance.
