The Dewalt DCS579 circular saw is rail compatible circular saw up to the latest technology with improved motor internals allowing for more magnets and copper windings. This brings the total power output of this saw to almost 2.5 KiloWatts when used with the two included high performance 9.0 Amp-hour battery packs. Based on previous model DCS576, DCS579 has 47% more power and efficiency. These improvements are also available for the non-rail version of this saw as the new DCS578 (replacing the 575).
