The Dewalt DCS389 reciprocating saw is latest flagship, taking over from the DCS388, to provide unparalleled cordless cutting performance. It operates at 3,000 strokes per minute and has an output power of 1874 Watts, that's 19% more than the DCS388 model. Will cut up to 20 meters of 50mm pine per charge.
The drivetrain is a crank type system which reduces the unpleasant vibrations normally associated with powerful reciprocating saws. To help the user see the work during cuts, there is a nose mounted LED light that brightly illuminates the cut line.
